A doctoral candidate (3rd cycle) in urban studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Carla is writing her thesis on the history of artistic signs in Montreal between 1843 and 1992. She looks at how these objects have helped shape the city's visual and commercial landscape.
